The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for FREE access. ************************************************************************************************************** The Cairo Messenger, February 3, 1956: James Milton Harrell, 79 Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at the Spring Hill Methodist Church for James Milton Harrell, 79, who died Jan. 28 after being ill for about 18 months. The Rev. J. E. Lackey and the Rev. Gene Dodson officiated. Pallbearers were Melvin Harrell, A. L. Thompson, Elmer King, John R. King, Sam Veal and Frank Veal. He was born in Whigham, August 17, 1876, the son of the late Sampson and Eliza Dollar Harrell and had resided in Grady County all of his life. He was a farmer and a member of the Spring Hill Church. Surviving him are his widow, the former Miss Annie Martin, a brother, Sam Harrell, Moultrie; two sisters, Mrs. M. J. Veal, Moultrie and Mrs. Amelia Farnell, Cairo. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Interment was in Spring Hill Cemetery with Forsyth Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
