The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for FREE access. ************************************************************************************************************** The Cairo Messenger, Friday September 23, 1960 Mrs. Lula Dollar Dies at 94; Services Monday Mrs. Lula Godwin Dollar dies at 94 years of age following an illness of one week at the home of her son, Dee Dollar, on the Hawthorne Trail last Sunday. Funeral services were held on Monday at the Mispah Church with Elder Earl Childs in charge of the services and interment followed in the Dollar Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Mrs. Dollar's grandsons. She was born on September 14, 1866 in Grady County, daughter of John and Mary Hawthorn Godwin. She was married to Edward F. Dollar and he died in 1946. Mrs. Dollar had lived in this county all her life and was a member of the Mispah Church. Survivors include two sons, Jeff and Dee Dollar, both of Grady County; two daughters, Mrs. W. R. Perry, Tallahassee; Mrs. D. H. Gainous of Grady County; 20 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. Arrangements were in charge of Clark Funeral Home.
