Moore Marvin Pierce Moore, 61, lifelong resident and retired farmer of Grady County passed away Saturday at a private hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 31 at Clark Chapel with the Rev. J. T. Lambert officiating. Interment was in Butler Cemetery, Whigham. Mr. Pierce was born in Grady County on April 24, 1904, son of the late Orren and Florence Maxwell Moore. Active pallbearers for the funeral were nephews: Elmo Harrison, Wendell Moore, Franklin Boyette, Clyde Moore, Burt Harrison and Carson Johnson. Survivors include five brothers, E. L. Moore, G. I. Moore, Lewis Moore, Lester Moore, and Eugene Moore, all of Whigham; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Johnson, Mrs. Clarence Boyette, both of Climax, Ga. and Mrs. Leo Harrison of Whigham. Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
