Harrell, 89, Passes July 11; Services July 12 Funeral services for Nettie Cliett Harrell were held in Capel Baptist Church Monday, July 12, with the Rev. Fred Bullock, Hugh Lee Brinkley and Jasper Saddler officiating. Interment was in Mars Hill Cemetery beside her late husband, who was fondly called "Uncle Bud." Mrs. Harrell passed away on Sunday, July 11 at her residence on the Pelham Road. She had been ill for some time. She was born in Decatur County, Georgia in 1885, but had spent her entire life in Grady County. She was the daughter of the late Emma Dollar and Joseph Cliett, and was married in 1909 to the late E. E. Harrell. Survivors include two sons, Dan Harrell and Robert Harrell, both of Cairo, and one daughter, Mrs. Elwyn Willis of Bainbridge. Active pallbearers were Robert Williams, E. Owens, Odell Walden, Donald Gwaltney, J. B. Hester and Maynard Johnson. A number of friends formed an honorary escort. Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
