Leonard Harrell Passes at Home September 30 Mr. Thomas Leonard Harrell, 70, a long time resident of Whigham and Grady County died at his home in Whigham following a long illness at 4:40 p.m. September 30. Funeral services were held at Springhill Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Brooks and Rev. Leon Vanlandingham officiating. Burial followed in the Springhill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Maston Nazworth, Cleon and James Cox, Jack Kennemur, H. D. Pyles, and Virgil Nazworth. Honorary pallbearers were Turner Harrell, J. H. Pyles, Bob Brunson, John Mobley, Charlie Jones, Ralph McBroom, A. L. Fowler and G. W. Jordan. Mr. Harrell was born August 28, 1891 in Decatur County, son of Homer and Eugenia Martin Harrell. He was married to Carrie Forehand, and had lived all his life in this county. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Logue, Decatur County; Mrs. Ethel Ponder, Grady County and Mrs. Melvin Logue of Clearwater, Fla. Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
