The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for FREE access. ************************************************************************************************************** The Cairo Messenger, December 26, 1930 Columbus Saddler Is Killed Instantly Falling Limb Brings Quick Death To Cairo Man Thursday Mr. Columbus Saddler, 54 years of age, a logging contractor, was instantly killed a few miles east of Cairo last Thursday afternoon when a falling tree sent a dead limb from another tree hurling down upon him. Mr. Leslie Bonner, of Pine Park, was seriously injured, also, but his condition is now much improved. He suffered a broken collar bone, in addition to other injuries. Mr. Saddler was a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Saddler, of the Spring Hill community of this county. He was married. His tragic death brought deep sorrow to many friends throughout the county. Funeral and interment were at Spring Hill Cemetery on Friday.
