(Tony) Gainous, 46 Mr. Elisha T. (Tony) Gainous passed away on Friday morning, October 13, after being ill for a number of years. The funeral service was held at Mars Hill Christian Church at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Revs. Lee Long and Pollock in charge. Interment followed in Mars Hill Cemetery. The deceased was born in Grady County in 1904, the son of the late Elisha and Mary Boutwell Gainous; for about thirty years he made his home in this county. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Annie Lois Logue, of Lakeland, Fla.; one son, Arnold Gainous, Lakeland, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. James C. Harrell, Lakeland; Mrs. William Sellars, Climax; and Mrs. Louis Willis, Fowlstown; four brothers, Remer D. and Charlie Gainous, Grady County; Sam Gainous, Lakeland, Fla.; and Henry Gainous, Tallahassee, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Lucas, Thomasville. Arrangements were handled by Forsyth-Bearden Funeral Home.
