He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Peebles. He leaves a wife and a little boy. Mr. Peebles had made his home in the west for several years. He had been in poor health for two years and was a most patient sufferer. It had been realized for some time that the end was only a matter of a short time. He passed away as peacefully as though he had quietly fallen asleep. The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church by Revs. Christopher and Jordan. He was buried by the masonic brothers in the Whigham Cemetery, Thursday afternoon.
