The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for FREE access. ************************************************************************************************************** The Cairo Messenger, February 3, 1939 Mrs. Ida Strickland Sadler, 52, Is Laid At Rest Sunday Mrs. Ida Strickland Sadler, wife of C. G. Sadler, died at their home in the Reno community at 10 o'clock last Saturday night, January 28th, of high blood pressure and complications. She was 52 and had been seriously ill three weeks. Mrs. Sadler was born Nov. 23rd, 1886 in Decatur County, Ga., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Strickland, and spent her entire life in this section. She became the wife of Mr. Sadler on Jan. 23rd, 1908, in Bainbridge. As a wife and mother, and as a lifelong member of the Missionary Baptist church, she exemplified those simple Christian virtues that caused her to be loved by many people. Her strong family ties will cause her to be greatly missed. Funeral and interment were at Pisgah church and cemetery last Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, in charge of Rev. S. Millford of Climax, and South Georgia Funeral Home, of Cairo. Surviving are here husband; six sons, Paul Sadler of Boxton, Ga., and Mark, Thomas L., Cecil, Randall, and Orice Sadler, all of Grady County; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Lee Lowe and Misses Pauline, Nettie May and Alverna Sadler, all of Grady County; four brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren.
