M. Dollar was born June 7th, 1837, and departed this life, Feb. 13th, 1916. He has been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for 52 years, and he lived a loving and devoted member until his death. He was loved by all who knew him and his death has brought sadness to all who knew him during his life. He has one brother, Mr. Madison Dollar, who is living near Cairo, and has three sisters, Mrs. S. Harrell, Mrs. Henry Boutwell, and Mrs. Daniel Brock. He has three daughters, Mrs. A. J. Hicks, of Kissimmee, Fla., Mrs. Ab Knight and Mrs. Joe Knight of near Whigham, Ga. He has three sons, Mr. F. W. Dollar of Thomasville, Mr. W. J. Dollar of Whigham, and Mr. W. G. Dollar of near Whigham. At the time of his death, and during his sickness, he was living at the home of his daughter, Mrs Ab Knight. He was buried at Open Pond cemetery, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. T. A. Cumbie. Yes, thou art gone, thy much loved voice, Our ears no longer hear. And oft in hours of solitude, Starts the unbidden tear. We would not wish to call thee back, To such a world as this, But trust that we one day will join Thee is the realms of bliss. --Written by relatives
