Friday, July 25th, 1919 How sad the time has passed away Since little Curtis left us that sad day; His pleasant smiles and voice so dear Has left a long remembrance here. We have lost our darling Curtis, He has bid us all adieu, He has gone to live in Heaven, And his form is lost to view. Sleeping Curtis, peacefully rest Whose waiting is supreme blest, No fears nor woe shall dim that hour, Or manifest the Savior's power. In our joys and our sorrows, Days of toil and hour's ease; Still he calls in cares and pleasures, That we loved him more than these. Oh! Happy thought if faithful here We work and watch and pray, At last with thee in Heaven We'll spend an endless, happy day. He went and left his home so dear, It made the path look dark; But still they trusted in their Savior And kept him in their heart.
