S. Fulford Passes Away on May 5th On May 5th, at 2:30 o'clock, the sweet spirit of Mrs. Elizabeth Fulford quit its tenement and returned to God who gave it and though we miss her sadly, and our hearts grieve on account of our loss, still we feel that we should thank God for the beautiful Christian life which she lived. She made the home and the lives of those with whom she came in contact brighter. No better neighbor could be found than Mrs. Fulford. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, to minister to the sick or those who were in distress of any kind. She bore her own sickness which lasted about 5 months with the greatest patience and fortitude we have ever witnessed and during the whole time, she never seemed melancholy, or despondent, meekly submitted to the will of the Lord. She was ever loyal to her Lord and Master. At the time of her death, she was a member of Woodland church, in which she had lived a number of years. As a church worker she will be greatly missed and her memory will be held in affection by all. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, Mr. J. S. Fulford and four daughters, Mrs. E. Jones, Mrs. W. A. Harper, Misses Mattie and Zemmie Fulford.
