H. Gainous, nine miles northwest of town last Wednesday night about midnight. Dropsy was the immediate cause of his death, having suffered for the past several months. "Uncle Henry" was 87 years of age, a member of the Methodist church. He is one of the oldest citizens of the county. The funeral services were held today Friday at eleven o'clock. He leaves four daughters, two sons, Mrs. D. W. Ponder of Cairo being one of them.
