B. Belcher died at his home three miles north of Cairo at 1 p.m. last Monday. She was a widow, seventy-eight years of age, and left no children. Her husband died about twenty years ago. She was a sister of Mrs. James McKown, formerly of this county, deceased, and leaves a number of relatives, both by blood and by marriage, to mourn her departure. She has been in quite feeble condition for some time, due principally to the impairment of old age, and was not suffering from any specific disease of a malignant character, at the time of her death. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. P. Swann, were held at Long Branch church, a mile and a half from Cairo, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and the interment took place in the adjacent cemetery immediately afterwards.
