R. Butler, a prosperous physician of Meigs, Ga. died at his home in that place Wednesday, after an illness of one week of pneumonia. Dr. Butler was making a success of his profession and there was apparently a long life of usefulness ahead of him, when he was thus suddenly cut down. Tis indeed a sad case. He leaves a young wife and baby, his father, Mr. Louis F. Butler, of this place, a step-mother, four brothers, three sisters and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn his untimely decease. He was a member of the Baptist church in Meigs, and the body having been brought to the home of his childhood, near Calvary, Wednesday night. The interment took place in the family cemetery at 3 o'clock p.m. yesterday, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. Mr. Thompson of Havana, Fla.
