A. Walker's sanitorium Wednesday evening last at 8:15 o'clock. Mrs. Whigham has been a sufferer with appendicitis for some time, but only for the past week had her condition become serious. She was brought here and placed in the sanitarium Wednesday about noon, the operation following soon after. The disease had made such inroads upon her system that she was not able to withstand the shock of the operation, and she quietly passed away at 8:15, without rallying from the effects of the anaesthetics. Mrs. Whigham leaves, besides her husband, a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Duggar, of near Whigham; three brothers, namely, T. O. Duggar, Jr., of North Grady, O. P. Duggar, Havana, Fla. and C. E. Duggar of Wetumpka, Fla., one siter, Mrs. A. E. Whigham, of Lime Sink, to mourn her loss. The deceased was born June 5th, 1862. The funeral services were held at the Spring Hill church by Rev. C. B. Johnson, assisted by Rev. Paul Fletcher of Havana, Fla. The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved family in their hour of sad affliction.
