Lee Butler will be grieved to learn of his death, which occurred at his home about four miles south of Cairo last Saturday morning at eleven o'clock. Mr. Butler had been sick for something like three weeks, and it is thought that heart trouble was the direct cause of his death. He was as near as could be learned about 48 years of age at the time of his death. The remains were interred at Long Branch cemetery last Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Revs. W. C. Jones and W. J. Hurst officiating at the burial services. He is survived by his wife, four sons and two girls, one brother, C. H. Butler and five sisters, Mesdames C. E. VanLandingham, A. B. Clark, W. H. Hurst, G. E. Prince of Grady county and Walter Prince of Arlington, Ga. The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved ones in their sad hour of affliction.
