E. Cannon Passes Away Mrs. Charley Cannon died at her home 3 miles northeast of town last Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, after an illness of more than a year's duration. Mrs. Cannon has been suffering with a dreadful malady for some time, in which she has shown marked fortitude and patience. Her faith in God, her Christian zeal, and her loving services so freely given attest to her bright Christian character. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. C. Jones on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at Long Branch cemetery, and the interment followed. Mrs. Cannon leaves a husband and six children to mourn her loss, besides a number of other relatives.
