G. Mills and took from it his only son, Amos. He had been ill for three weeks having received an injury while in play with a friend which was the cause of his death. All loving hands and skilled physicians could do was done, but to no avail. God had called and he must go. Amos was sixteen years of age and had been a member of the Methodist church since the age of ten. Nothing pleased him better than to do something for his church or Sunday school. His remains were laid to rest in the Godwin Cemetery Friday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. B. G. Johnson. His is survived by a father and three sisters, his mother having been called to the Great Beyond several years ago. The family has the most heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
