J. Rigsby, which occurred Thursday morning at 6:40 o'clock at the home of his son, Col. L. W. Rigsby, in Cairo. Mr. Rigsby had been a sufferer for several years, but had only been confined to his bed for a few weeks, and it was not thought the end was so near upon this good man. He was one of Grady county's best citizens and his exemplary life will continue to be a guide to those who know him, in the way of truth, honesty and charity. He lived close by the Golden Rule. Mr. Rigsby was 80 years of age last January. He was a loyal Mason and had lived a consistent Christian life from his youth up and was a member of Long Branch Baptist church at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and one son, Col. L. W. Rigsby and numerous relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The remains will be laid to rest at Long Branch, Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock, with Masonic honors. Rev. J. P. Swann, pastor of the church, will conduct the services assisted by Rev. Jesse W. Cannon. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
