Mr. Maxwell had been in failing health for several months, but had only been confined to his bed for two weeks, his death being due mostly to old age. He was about 76 years of age and leaves besides his wife, 5 boys and one girl and numerous relatives and friends to mourn his loss. "Uncle Hill Jim" as he was called, was a member of the Primitive Baptist church at Calvary and had been clerk of this church for 45 years. The remains were laid to rest in the presence of a large concourse of friends and relatives, Saturday, at noon at the cemetery near Calvary, Rev. W. M.
