D. Connally died Thursday afternoon, January 28th, at four o'clock. He had been sick about four weeks with a complication of diseases, typhoid fever being among them. Everything was done for him that medical skill and loving hands could do, but to no avail. He was a member of Barnett's Creek church, and a young man of many durable traits of character, which endeared him to all who knew him. By his death, which leaves an aching void in the hearts of so many, the community loses one of its most promising young men. Besides his father and mother, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Herbert Hammack of Woodville, Fla. and one brother, Mr. Remer Connally of this county, and many other relatives throughout the county. To the heart broken family, we extend our deepest and most heart felt sympathy. Interment took place Friday afternoon at three o'clock in the Barnett's Creek cemetery amid a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Rev. A. T. Hart performed the last sad rites.
