Maxwell Passes Away At Age of 83 Mr. Daniel M. Maxwell, an aged and respected citizen passed to his reward last Wednesday night at 11:40 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Maxwell, near Calvary, after a brief illness with LaGrippe. He was 83 years of age and was a consistent member of the Calvary Baptist church. His life has been an exemplary one and the influence of it will abide. The funeral was held at the Maxwell cemetery near Calvary at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon and was conducted by his pastor, N. G. Christopher of Whigham after which the Cairo Lodge of Masons took charge of his body and committed it to the earth. Mr. Maxwell is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Lizzie Maxwell, D. C., J. L. and George of Grady county, Mrs. J. H. Carter, Cairo, Mrs. Richard Lewis, Apalachicola, Fla., Albert Maxwell, Alabama, Mrs. S. T. Cherry, Donalsonville.
