H. Searcy after a short illness lasting for only a few days. Mrs. Maxwell, who was in declining health, had come to south Georgia to recuperate, and had shown signs of improvement and had planned to return home on Saturday, the very day her body was shipped home. Early last week she was stricken with paralysis from which she never rallied, and on Saturday morning about 10 o'clock she quietly passed away. The body was shipped on the one o'clock train to Talbotton and the funeral was held at the family burial grounds near Centerville on Sunday. Mr. Wh Searcy and Mrs. W. M. Searcy accompanied the remains. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the town and community in their bereavement.
