She had been in failing health for more than a year, and the shock of the recent death of her sister, Mrs. W. B. Hambleton, is thought to have hastened her end. Mrs. Tuggle was in her 75th year, having been born in Metcalfe, October 2, 1840. She was before her marriage a Miss Margaret Roddenbery, the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Roddenbery. The deceased was a devoted member of the Baptist church, having joined it very early in life. She was a woman with many warm personal friends, and her loss will be keenly felt by them and her many relatives. Her husband died several years ago and she is survived by one sister, Mrs. N. E. Turner, of Merrillville. The funeral services were held from the residence of College street Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, and were conducted by Rev. W. M. Harris of the First Baptist church and Rev. D. H. Parker of the Second Baptist church. The remains were interred in Laurel Hill cemetery. The pall bearers were Dr. T. J. Culpepper, Messrs. R. E.
