The cause of his death was that of a general break down. The remains were laid to rest in Piedmont cemetery last Friday, the funeral services being attended by a large number of relatives and friends. Rev. Moneyham, his pastor, conducted the services. Mr. Strickland was a devoted member of the Primitive Baptist church, a veteran of the Civil war and a model citizen, numbering his friends by his acquaintances. Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Allie Jones, and Mrs. Green Jones, and six sons, Messrs. J. H., Joe, H. L., Frank, Murry and Jesse, all of Calvary.
