Mr. Dekle had been in failing health for the past few months, having had a stroke of paralysis about a month ago, from which he never recovered. Mr. Dekle was 58 years of age and was a member of the Cairo Baptist church. The remains were brought to this city last Saturday morning and carried to the home of Mr. G. W. Hurst, where the funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, being conducted by Dr. J. A. Wynne. The remains were laid to rest in the Cairo cemetery, attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Mr. Dekle is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons. The Messenger joins the many relatives and friends of the family in extending condolence to the bereaved ones.
