N. Hollingsworth, taking him, the beloved father and husband bearing his precious soul to the God who gave it, and to the rest prepared for him. He was a devoted member of the Primitive Baptist church and never failed to attend his regular meetings unless sickness prevented. He was born Feb. 21st, 1852. He leaves a wife and seven children, Messrs. Levy and Robert Hollingsworth, Mrs. Percy Cross, Mrs. Warner Harrell, Mrs. Clower Hall, Mrs. Buford Connell and Miss Mattie Hollingsworth. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Sarah Brock and one brother, Rev. William Hollingsworth. The entire family are deeply sensible of the great loss which they have sustained in the death of their beloved one, yet they realize their loss is Heaven's gain. They feel that his beautiful life has been to them an inspiration of higher and nobler thoughts and deeds, the boundless extent of which will not be known, until the final reckoning shall come. He had been failing in health for some time and about six weeks ago was taken very ill. All that loving hands and kind friends could do was done, but the Heavenly Father thought best to take him. He was one of the first settlers of this community and was a kind neighbor and friend to all who knew him. His body was laid to rest the following day at Mizpah cemetery where a large congregation of sorrowing friends and relatives had gathered to pay their last respects.
