A. Gainous, six miles above town last Tuesday morning at six o'clock after a short illness. Mrs. Gainous was taken sick last Saturday morning, while on a visit to her father-in- law, and seemingly, was in no serious condition, the members of the family thinking she was getting on very well. A member of the family went to her room about six o'clock Tuesday morning to see how she was getting along, and found her dead in bed. Her death was due to paralysis. She was about twenty years of age and leaves besides her husband, a child, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arline, and numerous relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The remains were laid to rest in the Cairo cemetery at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. Walter C. Jones. The Grady County Progress, May 26, 1916 Mrs. Oscar Gainous died rather suddenly at her home near Mispah church last Tuesday morning. She was apparently in her usual health until last Saturday night when she was taken severely sick and died Tuesday. Mrs. Gainous will be best remembered in this section as Miss Sadie Arline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Arline. She married Mr. Oscar Gainous about three years ago. She leaves a little girl about one year old. The burial was at the Cairo Cemetery Wednesday morning, Rev. W. C. Jones conducting the funeral services.
