J. Rigsby, one of the county's oldest and most highly respected citizens, passed away at his home in Whigham last Friday after a short illness. The funeral services were held that afternoon, interment taking place at the Spring Hill cemetery. He was laid to rest with Masonic honors, by the Whigham Lodge. Rev. I. K. Chambers, pastor of the Whigham Methodist church, conducting the last sad rites. Mr. Rigsby was born in Randolph County and moved to this county several years ago. He was 68 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by two brothers, Messrs. J. A. Rigsby of Whigham and T. W. Rigsby of Sale City, and one sister Mrs. T. W.
