The direct cause of his death being due to Bright's disease. He united with the Missionary Baptist Church in 1912 and had lived a moral, Christian life. He was an obedient and loving son and brother and his last words were "I am going home." He was laid to rest Sunday afternoon at the Collins' cemetery, two and a half miles south of Cairo.
