L. Baggett Laid To Rest Thursday Afternoon The remains of Mr. L. O. Baggett, who committed suicide, by shooting himself Wednesday afternoon at his home in Greenville, Fla., arrived in Cairo yesterday morning. The body was carried to the home of his father, Mr. W. G. Baggett, where the funeral services were held at one o'clock. Dr. J. A. Wynne, assisted by Rev. J. T. Ryder, conducted the last sad rites. He was laid to rest in the Baggett burial grounds two miles south of town. At the time of his suicide, his brother, Mr. P. M. Baggett, was visiting him. He left a note to Perry advising him what disposition to make of his property, but gave no reason for his rash act. The boyhood days of Mr. Baggett was spent here, where he has a large family connection. He is survived by his father, Mr. W. G. Baggett, several brothers and sisters besides many relatives and friends. He was about 35 years of age and was a member of the Baptist church and also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
