Lilly, of Boston, were brought to this city Tuesday afternoon and laid to rest in the Cairo cemetery. The young man passed away at the home of his parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Lilly in Boston, last Monday evening about ten o'clock, after an illness lasting for two years or more. The direct cause of his death was due to kidney trouble. Everything that could be done for the young man was done, but without avail. He was about 18 years of age, and was a consistent member of the Boston Methodist church. The funeral services were held at the Boston Methodist church, being conducted by Presiding Elder Morgan of the Thomasville District, and attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. The deceased was a grandson of Mr. A. B. Connell, who resides near Cairo and has many other relatives and friends in Cairo and Grady County. The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved ones.
