Dunn Passes Away Friday The many friends of Mr. W. E. Dunn and family will be grieved to learn of the death of Mr. Dunn's mother, Mrs. Mary E. Dunn of Dothan, Ala., which occurred in Waycross last Friday morning at one o'clock. Mrs. Dunn was on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Thomas, in that city, and several days ago she fell, which brought on a stroke of paralysis, and this, together with her age, was the cause of her death. Mrs. Dunn had been a consistent member of the Baptist church for 61 years, having been baptized when she was 16 years of age. At the time of her death, she was in her 78th year. The remains were brought to Cairo on the early morning train from Waycross and carried to the home of Mr. Dunn, where the funeral services were held at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Dr. J. A. Wynne conducted the last sad rites. Interment followed in the Cairo cemetery. Many relatives and friends attended the funeral services of this good lady. The deceased is survived by the following children, besides numerous relatives and friends: W. E. Dunn of this city; C. E. Dunn of Waycross; Mrs. W. J. Thomas of Waycross; and Mrs. W. E. Ennis of Dothan, Ala. The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved ones. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
