Mr. J. G. McKown Passed Away Tuesday Morning

Mr. J. G. McKown, one of Grady County's prominent farmers, passed away at his 
home about three miles north of town last Tuesday morning at one o'clock.  He 
had been sick for about ten days with pneumonia, which was the cause of his 
death.  Everything that could be done, was done for the young man, but without 
avail, and he quietly passed away Tuesday morning.

Mr. McKown was about 32 years of age and is survived by his wife, four 
children, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McKown, and many relatives and 
friends.  The funeral services were held at Pine Level Church Tuesday 
afternoon, Rev. J. P. Swann, conducting the last sad rites.  He was buried with 
W.O.W. honors, having been a member of the local lodge.  Interment was in the 
Pine Level cemetery.  The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved ones in 
their hour of affliction.
