J. B. Ley Passed Away In Orlando, Fla. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Bell will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Bell's father, Rev. J. B. Ley, at his home in Orlando, Fla. last Sunday night. Mr. Ley had been sick for only a few weeks and was operated upon last Saturday for stomach trouble. He gradually grew worse following the operation and the end came Sunday night. The funeral services were held Tuesday at Orlando, being attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Rev. Ley was pastor of the Orlando Methodist church and would have left this week to attend conference. He having attended forty conferences during his pastorate. He was about 62 years of age and is survived by his wife and several children. Two of his daughters, Mrs. L. A. Bell and Miss Ruth Ley, being residents of this city. They left for Orlando upon receiving a message announcing the death of their father. The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved ones.
