R. Ferrell Passed Away Last Saturday Night Mrs. Nell Dunn Ferrell, wife of Mr. Lee R. Ferrell, is no more. This good lady passed away last Saturday evening at 10:25 o'clock after an illness lasting for about eight weeks. She was suddenly taken sick with ear ache on Sunday evening, November 4th, and from this attack gradually grew worse. Soon after being attacked, the physicians diagnosed the case as pneumonia, which was the direct cause of her death. For about two weeks, it seem to those near her, that the end would come most any time, yet she improved enough to be carried back home from her father's residence, where she was first carried after being attacked. She continued to improve until about ten days ago, when a turn for the worse came, yet the physicians and those who were always near her, did not think the end so near. Last Saturday evening about 10:15 o'clock, she had a sinking spell and quietly passed away in ten minutes after being attacked. The weakness of her heart and the loss of strength was too much for this good woman. Everything that medical aid and loving hands could do for her was done without avail. The funeral services were held at ten o'clock at the Baptist church, being conducted by her pastor, Dr. J. A. Wynne. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the services at both the church and the cemetery. The floral offerings were many and were very beautiful, which shows the love and high esteem in which she was held by everyone with whom she came in contact. The pall bearers were Messrs. C. McManeus, A. C. Roddenbery, S. A. Collins, T. F. Proctor, Carl Poulk, L. A. Bell, Wh. Searcy and C. P. Poulk. Mrs. Ferrell was twenty-one years of age on January 12, 1917 and was a consistent member of the Baptist church. She was married to Mr. Lee R. Ferrell on April 16th, 1916 and it can be truthfully said they lived a very happy and contented married life and will be sadly missed by both her little daughter, nine months of age, and her husband, besides her many relatives and friends. She is survived by her husband, Mr. L. R. Ferrell, one daughter, Joyce; Father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dunn; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Walker and Miss Kathleen Dunn; and four brothers, George, Ellison, Spurgeon and Bob Harriss, besides numerous relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed, not only in the home, but by those with whom she came in contact and who had learned to love her. The Messenger extends condolence to the heart-broken husband and other relatives in their hour of sad affliction.
