Grady County Soldier Answers Last Roll Call

The following article concerning the death and burial of a Grady County boy 
will come as sad news to the many friends and relatives of the deceased in the 
upper portion of the county:

Mr. Harvey B. Knighton who was raised just over the line in Grady County about 
four miles west of Ochlocknee, died at the hospital in Pensacola, Fla., and his 
remains were brought to Ochlocknee Wednesday night and buried in Pleasant Grove 
cemetery Thursday afternoon.  Mr. Knighton enlisted some time last year in the 
navy and was stationed at Pensacola, Fla.  A few days ago he contracted cold 
from which pneumonia set in which resulted in his death.  Mr. Knighton was 26 
years of age and leaves a wife and three children.  The funeral services were 
conducted by Rev. R. G. Jackson of this city, after which the W.O.W. lodge of 
Ochlocknee took charge of the remains and buried him using that very impressive 
ceremony. -- Thomasville Times-Enterprise.
