Sellers, who resided near town was suddenly stricken with paralysis, Sunday afternoon, the 24th, from which he never regained consciousness, during his illness. He finally succumbed from this dreadful malady Thursday morning, the 28th at an early hour. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. P.W. Sellers and Mrs. Albert McCrory of this place and Mrs. Oland Parramore of Coolidge, four sons, R.L. and O.D. Sellers, of Whigham, W.F. Sellers of Edison, and Jesse M. Sellers of Cairo. The deceased had just passed the 66th mile post of his earthly pilgrimage. He was apparently in the very best of health up to the time the attack came upon him. His promises of a ripe old age were exceptionally good. He was highly respected and held a warm place in the hearts of all who knew and came in contact with him. He was numbered among the most substantial citizens of the community, and held positions of responsibility and trust. He was a member of the school board of trustees for a number of years, rendering invaluable service in that capacity, for which the community will ever be indebted to him. His home life was a beautiful personification of Christian character and living, and a loyal member of the Magnolia Baptist church, ever responsive to it's needs and demands at all times, in any capacity. He was kind and gentle in his disposition. He never forgot to practice that grand lesson he learned in his youthful years to apply the golden rule in dealing with his fellowman.Funeral services were conducted at the church of his membership by Rev. J.P. Swann, the pastor, and N.G. Christopher. He was laid to rest in the Magnolia Cemetery amid a large concourse of friends and relatives.
