R. Jones Passes Away Mr. Z. Robert Jones, one of Cairo's well known citizens, died at his home, the Central Hotel, about eight o'clock last Friday morning. He had been afflicted with typhoid fever for about two weeks. "Dad," as he was known by his numerous friends, was sixty-three years old. A stricken wife survives him, together with seven children. The funeral was conducted at the home Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock by his pastor, Rev. J. C. Christian and Dr. J. A. Wynne, the remains were deposited in the local cemetery immediately after the funeral. Mr. Jones leaves a number of friends in our midst who will miss his jovial life, ever ready to greet you with a pleasant word, accompanied by a smile. He was a rare character. He was a man of well balanced temperament, bearing the trials and disappointments of life with a resignation akin to willingness. Loved ones, neighbors and friends all miss him. May the God of Heaven keep the bereaved ones by His Spirit. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
