Morrison On May the 17th, 1918, God called from our midst our beloved brother, N. Morrison. He was born March 25th, 1852, and was married to Miss Elizabeth Christie in 1870. Eleven children blessed this union, six girls and five boys, of which three boys preceded him to the grave. He united with the Baptist church at Pleasant Grove in early manhood and later moved his membership to Long Branch, where he was ordained a Deacon. At the time of his death, he was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church. He loved his church and always attended church and Sunday School when his health would permit. He was the efficient Superintendent of our Sunday School at the time of his death. Though we miss him so much, there is a great consolation to feel assured that our loss is Heaven's gain. "For there remaineth a rest for the children of God." Be it therefore resolved: First. That since God in his all wise providence permitted us to associate with this, our brother and to observe the integrity of his life and conduct, we shall feel the loss of his counsel and advice, as well as his example. Second. That we will keep his memory fresh in our hearts and that we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved wife and children, pointing them to our Savior for help and comfort. He who doeth all things well and has promised to be with us always, even unto the end. Third. That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this church, a copy sent to the family, and to the county paper. Heaven containeth now our treasure. Earth the lonely casket keeps, And the sunbeams love to linger Where our sainted brother sleeps. Done by order of the church at Pine Level. J. H. Hancock A. L. Wamble W. A.
