Pullen Dies In France The many friends of Mr. J. L. Pullen of this city who holds a responsible position with the Farmers & Merchants Bank, will regret to learn of his brother's death in France. His brother, Mr. Emory L. Pullen, had been sick over seas for only 28 days. He was taken with pneumonia on July 1st and died July 28th, following an operation. He was laid to rest on July 30th with military honors. Mr. Pullen was a Corporal in the Tank Brigade and had been in the service for a little over 18 months. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Pullen of Meigs, and has many relatives and friends throughout this section, who will be grieved to learn of his demise.
