Stewart who died Wednesday night was conducted at Bold Springs cemetery Thursday afternoon. Rev. H. B. Stubbs officiating. Mrs. Stewart was a daughter of Captain John Isom and was born sixty-nine years ago near Atlanta. She united with the Methodist church at an early age and besides being a consistent member, she was an energetic Christian worker and with her, duty never ceased to be a joy. She was a devoted mother and grand-mother, a good neighbor and numbered her friends by her acquaintances. The whole community grieves and extends sympathy to the sorrowing family. Mrs. Stewart was buried by the side of her husband, who preceded her to the grave twenty-four years ago. She leaves three sons and three daughters to mourn her loss, Messrs. Charlie, Earl, and Cliff Stewart and one daughter, Mrs. Lee Drew, live in this county. One daughter lives in Oklahoma and one in Texas. She leaves two sisters and two brothers, besides one little great grand child and several grand children. One grand son, May Drew is a soldier now in France. Fortunately Cliff Stewart was with his mother at the last, being home on a furlough from Camp Sheridan, Ala. The tired hands are folded over the still heart. They are through with care, have done their part. No more will the body be racked with pain, For our loss here is to her an eternal gain. The Lord hath given "His beloved sleep" Never again to suffer — never to weep. The cold body lies quietly beneath the sod, The spirit is rejoicing with the Angels of God. A friend.
