A. Bass passed to the great beyond last Thursday night a little after nine o'clock. She had been ill for several weeks with fever, but was able to be up during Thursday. She retired as usual that night and had been talking to her father only fifteen minutes previous to her being found dead by her mother. Her mother, after retiring, in moving the child's hand, noticed it was cold. They immediately phoned for a physician who pronounced her death due to heart failure. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. C. Jones at the Singletary burying ground near Bold Springs Church, last Friday afternoon. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the last sad rites of this little girl. Carrie Ethel was a good child and was loved by every one with whom she came in contact, and was quick to make friends. The Messenger extends condolence to the bereaved family in their sad hour of affliction. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
