Strickland Passes To Realms Eternal William F. Strickland, after a brief illness, died at his home at Calvary last Friday night about ten o'clock. He was stricken with influenza on the tenth of this month, a few days later he contracted pneumonia, which in his already weakened condition, he could not overcome. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at Piedmont cemetery, near Calvary, Rev. R. W. Cannon, of Attapulgus, conducting the services. Mr. Strickland was 24 years of age. He was married to Miss Della Hughes of Climax, May 19th of this year. Besides his widow, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Joel Strickland of Cairo, five brothers: Messrs. J. C., J. H., M. T., J. L. Strickland of Grady County, H. L. Strickland of Brunswick, and three sisters, Mesdames Allie Jones, Maybelle Jones of this county and E. R. Harrell, of Amsterdam to cherish his memory.
