J. Poulk, in this city. She came here from Buena Vista on the eleventh of this month with the body of her father, Rev. J. W. Arnold, and remained to spend some time with her sister. Within a very few days she contracted influenza, then last Sunday, pneumonia followed and death quickly ensued. The funeral services were held at three o'clock Tuesday afternoon and she was laid to rest there by the side of her father and mother, who preceded her only a short while. Rev. J. G. Christian, assisted by Rev. J. B. Wight and Rev. W. C. Jones, conducted the services. She was about 21 years of age. She had been a member of the Methodist church since earliest childhood. Her mother having gone to her Heavenly home about two and a half years ago, she was left alone in the parsonage home to minister to her father, whose death preceded her's only nineteen days. She was kind to little children and was patient and gentle in spirit at all times. Her loved ones are greatly grieved over her early home going but they will all know where to find her. May they be resigned to the Heavenly Father's will — knowing that He doeth all things well. She is survived by two brothers, both in the service of their country, Capt. R. M. Arnold, of Chicago and Sergt. W. P. Arnold, with the American Expeditionary Forces in France; also two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Poulk, Cairo and Mrs. Grady Carter, of Talbotton.
