H. W. Head, Another Victim of Influenza The people of Cairo were all in sorrow yesterday, Thursday, about one o'clock, when the news of the death of Rev. H. W. Head was received. He was taken ill with influenza about ten days ago, Tuesday, the 26th of November; last Monday it developed into bronchial pneumonia. Rev. Head with his wife and baby moved to Cairo about one year ago, he being pastor of the Presbyterian church here. Although his residence here has been very short, he has made scores of genuine friends. His happy optimistic disposition has made his friends glad to be in his presence. Since this epidemic of influenza has been a scourge in our midst, he has been ever- ready and anxious to lend a helping hand. He was about 28 years of age. The remains will be carried to Dickey this morning and the funeral services will be held there at two o'clock this afternoon and he will be laid to rest there by his little boy who preceded him about five months ago. He leaves a widow, a father and mother, two brothers and two sisters to cherish his memory. May the Father in Heaven comfort this young widow and the other loved ones during this lonely hour.
