Mr. Harvey Merritt Crosses Great Divide

Mr. Harvey Merritt fell another victim of Influenza last Monday evening at 
seven o'clock.

He was sick only five days.  He died at his home in Grand Ridge, Fla.

Mr. Merritt was about fifty-one years of age.

The funeral and burial services were held in the local cemetery at Pelham 
Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock.  Rev. Lee, of the Pelham Baptist church, 
conducted the services.

Besides his widow, he leaves 3 boys and 3 girls, also 3 brothers, L. G. Merritt 
of Cairo, Walter Merritt of Bartow, Fla., Monroe Merritt of Pelham, also one 
sister, Mrs. M. L. Powe, Cairo.
