T. Draffin. She was born July 14th, 1917 and lived with us only 16 short months. Though her life was short, she filled the purpose of her life. In our home she was a great source of happiness, her sun-shining smile and cheery prattle always to call our attention to the one pure little lamb we all loved so dearly. In our hearts she brightened up the shadows and was as a blooming flower in the freshness of the dew. Now, that she is gone we think of her as that flower plucked from the stem and carried away to a place reserved for it. Little Sarah was often sick and seldom in good health, but never fretful, unless in pain. The blessed tenderness of her little heart went out to each and every member of the family with a strong devotion that makes us shudder with grief when we recall what a jewel we have lost. Gone she is, but yet loved. A loss it is to our home and lives, but to us her little mound is one sacred spot that constantly reminds us to be submissive and never will we think other than as "God's will be done, so be it." Pneumonia set in, but was broken up, then other complications set in that we were not aware of and hands did all they could, her other though she suffered long, and loving trouble was not located until she passed from us. ‘Twas God's will to take and so she hid away from our reach the trouble that took her away. She has gone from our midst to a restful sleep in Jesus. The one happiness of our home is broken up, but for a purpose of our Lord. Oh, Father, thy will and not ours. Oh Mother's heart, so kind and true, Be not so grieved, she is gone from you; But for a little while, Her spirit is gone, but not for long, She lingers near to await Your coming, mother dear.
