She was the daughter of Rev. John C. White. She was born Oct. 13th, 1877. She was a loving and obedient child and when 18, married Mr. Lawrence Singletary. She was a faithful wife and a tender and loving mother. She leaves a husband and nine children, father, mother and two brothers, R. S. and J. A. White and three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Stokes, Mrs. Pearl Kelly and Miss Lilla White, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing away. Ada bore her pains willingly and when the pearly gates unfolded, she closed her eyes and with a smile she took her flight. We loved Ada, yes, oh so much. She was so kind and had a smile for everyone and was a bright jewel in her family and to know her was to love her. Weep not, Lawrence, for Ada is only sleeping and awaiting for the gates to unfold for you. Dear children, remember, dear mother's teachings and keep a close walk beside our Savior and when our race is run and work on earth is done, we too, can cross over and meet dear mother at the Pearly Gates where she is waiting for us. Weep not, dear father and mother, for we know Ada is now waiting for the Pearly Gates to unfold, and oh, what a happy meeting that will be when we see her coming and welcome dear father and mother. Yes, welcome to rest forever morn. Yes, sleep on dear Ada, and take thy rest for brothers and sisters are striving each day to walk the narrow path that leads to that happy home where rest is forevermore.
